It is common to see streams in your Analytics before the matching earnings appear in your Wallet. There are a few reasons for this.
Streams and money are reported at different times
- Streams are updated daily, as soon as stores report the plays.
- Earnings only arrive when a store sends its sales statement, usually 1–3 months after the plays. Monthly trend charts can lag by 45–60 days.
So this month's streams will usually be paid in a later month.
Stores pay different amounts per stream
There is no fixed "price per stream". What a stream pays depends on:
- the store or service (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok and so on),
- the listener's country,
- whether the listener has a paid or a free account,
- each store's own royalty pool for that month.
Social and video usage is reported separately
Usage on social and video platforms (for example TikTok or Content ID matches) is reported separately from audio streams and on its own schedule.
Subscription status
If your subscription expired at the time the royalties were processed, a 20% distribution commission applies. See How Do Royalties Work on DistroVibe?
Still looks wrong?
If earnings for a period are still missing after 3 months, open a support ticket under Billing with the release, store and month.
