Apple Music for Artists provides the official portal to track deep streaming analytics, understand demographic reach across Apple Music and Shazam, customize your profile imagery, submit formatted lyrics, and promote milestones directly to your listeners.
Prerequisites & Eligibility
Before initiating a claim, ensure your setup meets Apple’s operational criteria:
-
Live Release Required: Unlike Spotify, Apple Music does not allow artists to claim a profile prior to the release date. Your debut release must be fully delivered by DistroVibe and live on Apple Music (ideally live for at least 3 to 5 business days to ensure catalog indexing).
-
Primary Artist Credit: You must be listed as a Primary Artist on the live release. Featured artists, producers, or remixers cannot use a track to claim administrative access to an artist page.
-
Apple Account: You will need an active Apple Account (Apple ID) to sign in to the platform.
How to Claim Your Apple Music Profile
You can submit your verification request either via the web portal or through the official iOS app:
-
Go to artists.apple.com or download the Apple Music for Artists app from the iOS App Store.
-
Sign in with your Apple Account.

Click or tap Request Artist Access.
-
Search for your artist name, or copy and paste your direct Apple Music artist page link/album URL into the search field to ensure you target the exact page.
-
Select the live release that belongs to you.
-
Choose your role (Artist, Manager, or Label Representative).
-
Fill out the verification form. To accelerate verification, authenticate your official social media profiles or provide distributor proof.
-
Submit the request.
Verification Timelines & Next Steps
