Minimum lead time

Your release date must be at least 7 days after you submit the release. This applies to every plan.

Recommended: 2 weeks or more

The wizard suggests a date 14 days away by default, and we recommend at least 2 weeks. The extra time:

  • leaves room for our review and for any fixes,
  • gives every store time to process and display your release on the same day,
  • lets you pitch to editorial playlists, which usually needs several weeks before release.

What happens on release day

Your release goes live on the selected stores on the release date. Stores process releases on their own systems, so exact go-live times can vary by store and by time zone. See How Long Does It Take for My Music to Go Live on Streaming Services?

Original release date

If you are re-releasing music that came out before, for example when switching distributors, set the original release date in the Schedule step. Stores will then show the correct historical date.

Faster review

Fast-Lane shortens our review time. It does not change the 7-day minimum. See What Is Fast-Lane Review?
