Before you enable Content ID
Content ID and Meta Rights Manager are only for music you fully own. Turn them off if your release contains:
- leased or non-exclusive beats,
- samples, loops or sound packs,
- cover songs or public-domain works,
- ambient, nature or white-noise recordings.
Claiming music you do not exclusively own causes disputes with other rights holders and can lead to penalties. Read the full rules in YouTube Content ID: Audio Fingerprinting & Monetization Guidelines.
