DistroVibe provides status updates throughout the distribution process so you can easily understand where your release currently stands.
After creating or submitting a release, go to Music → Releases in your DistroVibe dashboard to view its current status.
Draft
Your release will appear as Draft if it has not yet been submitted for distribution or if additional changes are required.
While a release is in Draft status, you can continue editing information such as:
-
Release metadata
-
Track information
-
Artwork
-
Contributors
-
Release date
-
Store and territory selections
If our Content Review team identifies an issue with your submission, your release may also be returned to Draft so you can make the required changes.
Once the requested changes are completed, you can submit the release again for review.
Pending
Your release will move to Pending after you submit it for distribution.
This means the release has entered DistroVibe's review and distribution process.
During this stage, we may review:
-
Release metadata
-
Artwork
-
Audio files
-
Copyright information
-
Artist and contributor information
-
Store eligibility
-
Content policy compliance
A release may remain Pending after review while it is being prepared or queued for delivery to digital platforms.
No action is normally required from you while your release is Pending unless DistroVibe requests additional information.
Needs Evidence
A release may show Needs Evidence when DistroVibe requires additional information or documentation before distribution can continue.
This may happen when we need to verify things such as:
-
Copyright ownership
-
Sample or beat licenses
-
Rights to previously released material
-
Public domain recordings or compositions
-
Artist identity or authorization
-
Potential audio matches detected during copyright checks
-
Other rights-related information
If your release enters Needs Evidence, open the release in your dashboard and follow the evidence request instructions.
Distribution will continue after the requested documentation has been reviewed and approved.
Delivered
Your release moves to Delivered once it has successfully passed DistroVibe's review process and has been sent to the selected digital stores and streaming services.
At this stage, platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, TikTok, Amazon Music, Deezer and others may still be processing the release.
Each platform has its own ingestion and processing times, so a Delivered release may not immediately appear publicly.
If your release date is in the future, stores may process the release in advance and schedule it to become available on your selected release date.
Delivered does not necessarily mean the release is already available to listeners. It means DistroVibe has successfully sent the release to the selected services.
Live
Your release will display as Live once the release date has arrived and DistroVibe has confirmation that the release is available on at least one digital platform.
If your release has a past release date or was approved after its scheduled release date, the status may change to Live as soon as platforms begin making the release available.
Important
A Live status does not necessarily mean that your release is already available on every selected platform.
Each streaming service and digital store processes releases independently, and some platforms may take longer than others.
For example, your release may already be available on Spotify while Apple Music, YouTube Music or another service is still processing it.
This is completely normal.
DistroVibe's Live status means that the release has begun appearing publicly on the selected services. It does not guarantee that ingestion has been completed across every platform.
Takedown Requested
When you submit a request to remove a release from digital platforms, its status may change to Takedown Requested.
This means DistroVibe has received your removal request and it is being processed.
Once the request is approved, takedown instructions will be sent to the platforms where your release was distributed.
Please note that stores may require additional time to remove the content after receiving the takedown request.
Taken Down
Your release will show as Taken Down after its removal request has been processed by DistroVibe.
However, some digital platforms may take additional time to fully remove the release from their services.
Because every platform processes takedowns independently, the release may temporarily remain visible on certain stores even after its DistroVibe status has changed to Taken Down.
