You can upload remixes or DJ mixes only if all underlying audio materials, stems, and original recordings are legally cleared. You must have explicit written authorization or a remix agreement from the original copyright holders. Standard mechanical cover song licenses do not grant permission to distribute remixes.
You are always free to upload remixes of your own original tracks.
How to Format and Upload Your Remix
1. Remix of Your Own Track (Produced by You)

Keep yourself as the Primary Artist.

Do not list yourself again with a "Remixer" role.

Enter the remix title (e.g.,
VIP Mix,Club Mix, orAcoustic Remix) directly into the Track Version / Subtitle field.
2. Remix of Your Track by an External Producer

Keep yourself as the Primary Artist.

In the Track Details / Artists section, add the guest producer and assign them the Remixer role.

Specify the version format in the Track Version field (e.g.,
[Producer Name] Remix). -
Attach the remix agreement or producer clearance document at the final step of the uploader.
3. Official Remix of Another Artist’s Song

Ensure you hold a fully executed remix contract or written clearance from the original artist, label, or publisher.

Set the original performer as the Primary Artist.

Add yourself (or your collaborator) with the Remixer role in the track contributor metadata.

Add the remix indicator to the Track Version field (e.g.,
DistroVibe Remix). -
Attach your clearance agreement in the uploader or submit it via a Needs Documentation ticket to our Quality Control (QC) team.
