When DistroVibe delivers your releases to YouTube Music, automated Art Tracks are generated across YouTube. During this ingestion phase, your tracks may initially land on a channel titled "Release - Topic" or grouped under a "Various Artists - Topic" channel instead of your personal artist name.

This is a standard intermediary holding state within YouTube's automated delivery pipeline and does not mean your metadata was submitted incorrectly.

Why Does This Temporary Mapping Occur?

  • Metadata Processing & Ingestion: When digital distribution feeds deliver DDEX packages to YouTube, the platform's systems place new releases into temporary indexing partitions while verifying contributor credits, rights splits, and track information.

  • Catalog Matching: YouTube’s algorithms evaluate whether an existing [Artist Name] - Topic channel already exists for your catalog or if a brand-new auto-generated topic channel needs to be minted.

Resolution Timeline & Automated Remapping

  • Turnaround Window: This staging placement is temporary. Once YouTube completes verification and establishes your profile database entry, your tracks will automatically relocate to your dedicated [Artist Name] - Topic channel.

  • Expected Timeframe: Migration typically completes automatically within 1 to 30 days of delivery. No distributor intervention or manual ticket is required while within this window.

Unlocking Your Official Artist Channel (OAC)

Once your music successfully migrates to your dedicated [Artist Name] - Topic channel, your catalog becomes fully eligible to upgrade to a YouTube Official Artist Channel (OAC):

  • You can submit an OAC upgrade request directly from your DistroVibe Dashboard once your releases appear under your own Topic channel name.
