Claiming and Managing Your Apple Music for Artists Profile

How to request access to your Apple Music for Artists profile once your DistroVibe release is live on Apple Music.

DistroVibe TeamLast updated on October 26, 2026

Apple Music for Artists is Apple's own portal to view streaming and Shazam statistics, understand where your listeners are, customize your profile image, and share milestones with your listeners.

Prerequisites & Eligibility

Before requesting access, make sure your setup meets Apple's requirements:

  • Release on Apple Music: Your music must be delivered by DistroVibe and available on Apple Music. If your profile does not show up yet, wait a few days after your release goes live and try again.

  • Primary Artist Credit: You should be listed as a Primary Artist on the release. Featured artists, producers, or remixers usually cannot use a track to claim another artist's page.

  • Apple Account: You will need an Apple Account (Apple ID) to sign in.

Tip: if you already have an Apple Music artist page, add its URL to your artist in DistroVibe (Catalog > Artists) before releasing, so new music lands on the right page.

How to Claim Your Apple Music Profile

You can request access via the web portal or the Apple Music for Artists app:

  1. Go to artists.apple.com or download the Apple Music for Artists app.

  2. Sign in with your Apple Account.

  3. Choose to request artist access.

  4. Search for your artist name, or paste your Apple Music artist page link or album URL to make sure you select the exact page.

  5. Select the release that belongs to you.

  6. Choose your role (for example artist or manager).

  7. Fill out the verification form. Connecting your official social media profiles can help Apple verify you.

  8. Submit the request.

Verification Timelines & Next Steps

  • Review Window: Apple reviews each request and sends an email once access is granted. Review times vary and are controlled by Apple, not DistroVibe.

  • Profile Customization: Once verified, you can upload a profile image, review Shazam performance, and invite team members with their own access levels.
