Connecting Your Existing Spotify Artist Profile
How to link your existing Spotify (and Apple Music) artist profile to an artist in DistroVibe so new releases land on the right page.
Connecting your existing Spotify artist page to your artist in DistroVibe tells Spotify exactly which profile your new releases belong to, which helps prevent split profiles or misplaced releases.
How to Connect Your Spotify Artist Profile
In your DistroVibe Dashboard, go to Catalog and open the Artists tab.
Click Add Artist (or edit an existing artist).
Search for your artist name on Spotify, or paste your Spotify artist profile link (e.g.,
https://open.spotify.com/artist/...orspotify:artist:...). Use an artist link, not a track, album, playlist, or user link.Optionally add your Apple Music artist URL as well.
Save your settings.
Once linked, future releases assigned to this artist are delivered with your Spotify profile, so they should appear on your existing page.
Adding Multiple or Featured Artists
If a release includes secondary primary artists, featured acts, or remixers who already have Spotify pages:
Create or update each artist beforehand under Catalog > Artists > Add Artist, linking their Spotify profiles.
When adding track credits in the release wizard, select the linked artist from the list.
What If You Uploaded Without Connecting Your Page?
If a release was delivered without your Spotify link, Spotify may place the track on a new blank page or on a different profile with a matching name.
To have the release moved:
Open your DistroVibe Dashboard and go to Help & Support.
Click New Request and select Distribution as the category.
Provide your release UPC, track ISRC, the correct Spotify profile link, and the URL of the incorrect page where the track currently appears.
Submit the ticket. Our team will ask Spotify to correct the mapping and update you on the ticket. Timing depends on Spotify.
