Who Owns Your Music on DistroVibe?

You keep full ownership of your masters and compositions on DistroVibe; here is what the distribution license covers and how royalties work.

You do.

DistroVibe does not own your master recordings, compositions, or visual assets, nor do we ever claim ownership or demand equity in your catalog. You grant us a distribution license, not a transfer of copyright, so we can deliver, license, and monetize your music across global stores and streaming services on your behalf.

Because you retain 100% ownership and complete creative control over your masters and publishing:

  • 100% of Your Royalties: With an active plan, you receive 100% of the royalties DistroVibe collects for your releases, with no distribution commission. If your plan ends, your releases stay live, but royalties processed without an active plan carry a 20% distribution commission. Optional services, such as Publishing Administration (15% admin fee), have their own fees.

  • Exclusive Per Release, Free to Leave: While a release is distributed through DistroVibe, the same recordings (same ISRCs) must not be delivered to stores by another distributor at the same time. You can end this at any time by taking your music down from the dashboard; please allow 30 to 60 business days for all stores to remove it.

  • Full Master Retention: Your copyrights, credits, and future licensing opportunities remain yours. DistroVibe only holds the rights you license to us for distribution while your releases are with us.
