Claiming Your Spotify for Artists Profile

How to claim your Spotify for Artists profile, including before your first release goes live, using your Spotify artist URI.

Spotify for Artists is Spotify's own tool to customize your public profile, see streaming statistics, pitch upcoming music to Spotify's editors, and add tour dates or merchandise to your artist profile.

Already have a Spotify artist profile? Make sure it is linked to your artist in DistroVibe (Catalog > Artists > Add Artist) before you release, then claim it directly at artists.spotify.com/claim.

Eligibility & Prerequisites

  • Pre-Release Claiming: Spotify lets creators claim their artist profile before the release date. For a new artist, your debut release must first be approved and delivered to Spotify by DistroVibe.

  • Retrieving Your Spotify URI: Once Spotify has received your release, your artist page gets a unique identifier known as a Spotify URI (spotify:artist:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). Because the page is not yet public in Spotify search, you need this URI to claim it.

How to Claim Your Profile Directly on Spotify

  1. Make sure your upcoming release shows Delivered to stores in your DistroVibe dashboard.

  2. Go to Help & Support, click New Request, select the Distribution category, and ask for the Spotify Artist URI for your upcoming debut release.

  3. Once our team sends you the URI, go to artists.spotify.com/claim.

  4. Log in with your personal Spotify account.

  5. In the search bar on Spotify's claim page, paste your complete Spotify Artist URI.

  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to verify your identity (such as connecting official social media accounts).

Spotify reviews each request; approval usually takes a few days. Spotify handles the verification, not DistroVibe.
