Submitting your release for Spotify editorial consideration

Updated August 6, 2026

What this is

Priority Pitch is a structured way to submit a release for Spotify editorial playlist consideration directly through your dashboard, rather than only relying on Spotify for Artists' own pitch form. It's designed to give your submission more context than a bare pitch form typically captures.

Before your release goes live

Just like pitching directly through Spotify for Artists, this only works for unreleased music — once a track is live, editorial consideration through this channel is no longer possible, the same limitation covered in "What happens after I submit a release?" and the timing advice in "Release scheduling and release dates."

What you'll need to provide

  • The release and specific track you're pitching.
  • A release overview — what the song is about, the story behind it, why it matters right now.
  • Your Spotify artist profile URL.
  • Marketing drivers — anything actively supporting the release (ad spend, influencer partnerships, press, playlist placements you've already secured elsewhere).
  • Accolades — any relevant press coverage, chart history, or notable achievements.
  • Tour dates, if applicable — active touring is a real signal editors sometimes factor in.

Setting realistic expectations

Providing thorough, accurate information here gives your pitch the strongest possible context, but it doesn't guarantee placement — editorial decisions are ultimately made by Spotify's own editors based on their playlists' current identity and needs, the same reality covered in our blog guide on pitching. Treat this as maximizing your odds, not as a purchase of guaranteed placement (see "Anti-fraud policy" for why guaranteed-placement claims from any source should be treated with suspicion).
