Adding additional artist profiles

Updated July 20, 2026

Plan requirements

The base Artist plan includes 1 artist profile. If you release under multiple names — a solo project and a duo, a main act and an alias, a production alias — you'll need Artist Pro or Label, both of which include unlimited artist profiles under one account.

Why you'd want multiple profiles instead of multiple accounts

Keeping everything under one DistroVibe account (with multiple artist profiles inside it) rather than creating separate accounts means one login, one wallet structure, one subscription, and one place to manage support — rather than juggling entirely separate logins and potentially separate subscriptions for what is, from a business standpoint, still one person's work.

Adding a profile

  1. From your dashboard, go to your artist profile settings.
  2. Add a new artist profile with its own name, photo, and bio.
  3. When creating a new release, select which artist profile it belongs to.

How releases and royalties work across profiles

Each release is tied to a specific artist profile for metadata and store display purposes (the artist name that appears on Spotify, Apple Music, etc.), but royalties from all your profiles flow into the same account-level wallet unless you've set up royalty splits directing specific tracks elsewhere.

If you're on the base Artist plan and need this

Upgrade to Artist Pro from Settings → Billing — the upgrade takes effect immediately, and you can add your additional profile(s) as soon as it's active.
