Standard password reset
- From the login page, select the option for a forgotten password.
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- Check your inbox for a reset link — this is sent to your account email, so make sure you're checking the correct inbox if you have multiple.
- Follow the link and set a new password.
If the reset email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder before assuming something's wrong — this is the most common reason a reset email seems "missing."
If you also have 2FA enabled
Resetting your password doesn't bypass 2FA — after setting a new password, you'll still be prompted for your second factor when logging in from a new device, exactly as before. This is by design: a password reset alone shouldn't be enough to fully take over a 2FA-protected account.
If you've lost access to both your password and your 2FA method
This is the hardest recovery scenario, precisely because it's what 2FA is designed to make difficult for an attacker too. If you find yourself genuinely locked out this way, open a support ticket (from a different account or by emailing support directly if you can't log in at all) and be ready to provide identity verification — proof you're the legitimate owner of the account, since we can't skip this step without undermining the security 2FA is there to provide in the first place. This process takes longer than a standard reset, which is the tradeoff for the extra protection 2FA gives your account the rest of the time.
Choosing a new password
Use a password you're not reusing from another account, especially given the wallet and payout information tied to your DistroVibe login. A password manager is the most reliable way to keep a strong, unique password without needing to remember it yourself.
