Two-factor authentication adds a second step when you sign in, so nobody can access your account and earnings with your password alone. We strongly recommend turning it on.

## Methods

- **Authenticator app** (recommended), such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password or Authy. You set it up by scanning a QR code.
- **Email code**: a code sent to your email address, valid for 10 minutes.

## Turning on 2FA

1. Go to **Settings → Security**.
2. Choose **Two-factor authentication** and pick a method.
3. For an authenticator app, scan the QR code with the app and enter the 6-digit code it shows to confirm.

From then on, you enter a code after your password each time you sign in.

## Check your login history

**Settings → Security** also shows a log of recent logins. If you see a login you do not recognise, change your password immediately and contact support.

## Lost your authenticator device?

Open a support ticket under **Account** from another signed-in device, or email support@distrovibe.com from your account email address. We will verify your identity before resetting 2FA.
