Open **Catalog** in your dashboard and choose **Upload** to start a new release. The wizard has five steps and **saves your draft automatically** as you go, so you can leave and continue later.

## Step 1: Basic Info

- **Release title**
- **Primary artist.** Pick one of your artist profiles. You can add more primary artists with **Add another artist**.
- **Genre**
- **Cover art.** See *Cover Art Requirements*.
- **UPC** (optional). Leave it empty and one is generated for you.
- **Cover song.** If the release is a cover, mark it and upload your mechanical license.
- **AI-assisted.** If AI was used to create the music, declare it and add the requested documentation.

On Label plans you can also set the label name and the © (C-line) and ℗ (P-line). On other plans these are filled in automatically with your artist name.

## Step 2: Upload Audio

Upload one file per track in **WAV or FLAC** format. See *Audio File Requirements*.

The release type is set automatically from the number of tracks: 1–2 tracks make a **Single**, 3–7 an **EP**, and 8 or more an **Album**.

## Step 3: Track Details

For each track:

- **Track title** and optional **version** (for example "Remix" or "Acoustic")
- **Language**, or *No lyrics / Instrumental*
- **Explicit** content flag
- **Credits.** At least one songwriter (Songwriter, Writer or Lyricist) and one **Composer**, using full legal first and last names. Featured artists, producers and other contributors are added here too.
- **ISRC** (optional). Leave it empty and one is generated for you.
- **Lyrics** (optional)

Bulk tools let you apply the same language or contributors to all tracks at once.

## Step 4: Schedule

- **Release date.** It must be at least 7 days away. See *Choosing Your Release Date*.
- **Stores and territories.** All stores and worldwide distribution are selected by default.
- **Additional delivery** options, such as YouTube Content ID and Meta Rights Manager.
- Optional extras: original release date (for re-releases), TikTok preview start time, and motion art.
- **Fast-Lane review** (optional). See *What Is Fast-Lane Review?*

## Step 5: Review

1. Run the **quality check**. It lists anything that must be fixed before submission.
2. Confirm the three rights declarations.
3. Submit.

Your release moves to **DistroVibe review** and you receive a "Release Received" email. Track its progress on the release page. See *What Is the Status of My Release?*
