You can edit a release freely while it is a **Draft**. Once you submit it, the information is locked so that what we review and send to stores stays the same.

## What you can do in each status

| Status | Edit | Delete | Take down |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draft | ✅ | ✅ | — |
| DistroVibe review, Approved, Needs Docs, Rejected | — | ✅ | — |
| Sending to stores, Store delivery check, Delivered to stores | — | — | Not yet |
| Live | — | — | ✅ |
| Takedown statuses | — | — | Already taken down |

## I made a mistake before the release is live

If the release is still in **DistroVibe review**, **Approved**, **Needs Docs** or **Rejected**, the quickest fix is to **delete it and submit a corrected version**. Remember that the release date must still be at least 7 days away.

If it is already being sent to stores, it cannot be pulled back at that moment. Open a support ticket under **Distribution** and our team will advise.

## Changing a live release

Release information cannot be edited directly once a release is live. To request a correction, such as a typo in a title or a wrong credit, open a support ticket under **Distribution** and include:

- the release name and UPC,
- exactly what should change.

Some changes, such as replacing the audio, cannot be made to a live release. In that case the release has to be taken down and submitted again.
