To make your music selectable inside the official in-app **YouTube Shorts Audio Library**, your release must be opted into **YouTube Content ID** through DistroVibe.

Because Shorts discovery relies on YouTube's automated rights architecture, Content ID enrollment is the direct gateway for creators worldwide to add your sound recording to their short-form videos.

### How YouTube Shorts Audio Availability Works

* **Automated Sound Library Indexing:** Once your track is accepted and fingerprinted by YouTube Content ID, YouTube automatically exposes the audio asset within the native Shorts music picker across mobile devices.

* **Creation vs. External Edits:** When a creator attaches your track directly via the YouTube Shorts sound picker, YouTube establishes an automated usage claim. If a creator edits your audio into a video externally before uploading, standard Content ID fingerprinting detects the match, claims the video, and diverts advertising revenue straight into your DistroVibe Balance.

* **Mandatory YouTube Music Pairing:** Content ID reference files cannot exist as standalone assets. To deliver to Content ID and reach the Shorts library, your release must also be delivered to YouTube Music as an official Art Track.

### Eligibility Requirements

Before opting into Content ID for Shorts indexing, ensure your master recording complies with YouTube's strict exclusive ownership guidelines:

* **100% Exclusive Master & Publishing Rights:** You must own all songwriting, composition, vocal performances, and sound recordings outright.

* **No Third-Party Loops or Stock Audio:** Tracks containing non-exclusive sample library elements (Splice, Looperman, DAW presets), royalty-free beats, or leased instrumentals are strictly ineligible.

* **No AI-Generated Audio:** Content featuring generative AI vocals or AI-assisted synthetic arrangements cannot be submitted to Content ID.

* **Minimum Duration:** The recording must be at least 20 seconds long.
