A **YouTube Official Artist Channel (OAC)** unifies an artist’s complete presence on YouTube into a single, centralized destination. It automatically merges your personal channel, your automated YouTube Music Topic channel, and any associated VEVO channel into one profile awarded the verified **music note badge (🎵)**.

### Key Features & Platform Benefits

* **Consolidated Subscriber Base:** Subscribers from your personal channel, automated Topic channel, and VEVO channel are combined into one unified subscriber count.

* **Automated Discography Shelf:** Your channel layout updates automatically with dedicated, locked shelves for **Releases** (albums, singles, and EPs) and **Official Music Videos**.

* **YouTube Analytics for Artists:** Unlocks comprehensive metrics in YouTube Studio, tracking total impressions, watch time, and revenue generated across your own uploads, Art Tracks, VEVO drops, and fan-made Shorts.

* **Direct Fan Merchandising & Tour Ticketing:** Integrates official merchandise shelves and automated concert ticketing links directly below your videos and on your channel page.

* **Enhanced Discovery:** Improves overall search authority within YouTube's ranking algorithms and grants consideration for spotlight programs like *Artists on the Rise*.

### Eligibility Requirements

Because YouTube processes OAC upgrades manually through authorized music partners, your channel must meet the following baseline criteria before submission:

* **Active YouTube Music Topic Channel:** You must have at least **1 to 3 official releases** successfully distributed to YouTube Music via DistroVibe. Your music must already be indexed under an active `[Artist Name] - Topic` channel.

* **Dedicated Owned & Operated (O&O) Channel:** You must own and operate a personal channel that represents you or your band exclusively multi-artist, record label, or non-music channels are strictly ineligible.

* **Exact Name Matching:** The name of your personal channel must match your official DistroVibe artist name character for character (avoid adding tags like *"Official"*, *"TV"*, or *"Music"* if they are not part of your stage name).

* **Music Video Presence:** Your personal channel must contain at least one public, full-length music-focused video upload (such as an official music video, lyric video, or visualizer Shorts alone do not qualify).

* **Policy Standing:** The channel must have zero active Community Guidelines or copyright strikes.

### How to Request Your OAC via DistroVibe

Once your releases are live on YouTube Music and appear on your Topic channel:

1. Log into your **DistroVibe Dashboard**.

2. Navigate to the **Support** section and click **New Ticket**.

3. Select **Metadata & Profile Mapping** as the department and choose **YouTube Official Artist Channel (OAC) Request**.

4. Provide the following required submission parameters:

   * **Artist Name:** (Must match your distributor metadata)

   * **Personal YouTube Channel URL:** (Direct link to your personal channel)

   * **YouTube Music Topic Channel URL:** (Direct link to your automated `Artist - Topic` channel)

   * **Release UPC & Track ISRC:** (Of at least one live track distributed via DistroVibe)

5. Submit the ticket.

### Review Timelines & Post-Approval Note

* **Processing Window:** After DistroVibe validates your details, the request is delivered directly to YouTube's music partner queue. The review and merger process typically takes **2 to 6 weeks**, though YouTube's manual compliance team may take up to 12 weeks during peak review cycles.

* **One-Way Assignment:** OAC status cannot be transferred to a secondary channel once granted. Ensure the channel URL submitted is the exact permanent destination you intend to maintain.
